1、在人稱(chēng)和數(shù)上與主語(yǔ)保持一致

例1：鄉(xiāng)鎮(zhèn)企業(yè)的繁榮是我國(guó)農(nóng)村改革的必然產(chǎn)物。

譯文：The prosperity of town enterprises is the inevitable outcome of the economic reform in the rural areas.

主語(yǔ)是“prosperity”而不是“town enterprises”，因而謂語(yǔ)用單數(shù)形式的“is”。

2、保持時(shí)態(tài)與原文語(yǔ)義相吻合

例2：本公司全體同仁竭誠(chéng)為各界服務(wù)。

譯文：Our corporation will serve various circles heart and soul.

這是某公司的意愿，因而譯文要用將來(lái)時(shí)態(tài)。

例3：該產(chǎn)品市場(chǎng)緊俏，貴公司若有意訂購(gòu)，請(qǐng)從速。

譯文：Please make a prompt order of the product,which has been sold well.

“該產(chǎn)品市場(chǎng)緊俏”是指產(chǎn)品已經(jīng)銷(xiāo)售的情況，因而英文用完成時(shí)態(tài)。

3、原文用形容詞短語(yǔ)、名詞性短語(yǔ)、數(shù)量詞或介詞短語(yǔ)作謂語(yǔ)，英文常用系表結(jié)構(gòu)作謂語(yǔ)

例4：這種打字機(jī)輕便高效、經(jīng)久耐用而又經(jīng)濟(jì)實(shí)惠。

譯文：This type of typewriter is portable and durable,economical and practical.

例5：金杯牌汽床墊工藝先進(jìn)、結(jié)構(gòu)新穎、造型美觀、款式繁多、適時(shí)大方、攜帶方便。

譯文：The"Golden Cup"brand air-filled bed cushions are made in advanced technology.With novel structure,beautiful shape and various patterns,they are comfortable and convenient to carry.

4、原文是多動(dòng)謂語(yǔ)（連動(dòng)式和兼語(yǔ)式)，英文可采用一個(gè)主動(dòng)詞作謂語(yǔ)，其他用非謂語(yǔ)形式

例6：市政府采取各種措施招商引資。

譯文：The city government takes a variety of measures to invite investment.

例7：招商代表團(tuán)吸引了許多東南亞客商來(lái)新加坡洽談項(xiàng)目。

譯文：The delegation of inviting investment has attracted many businessmen from south-east Asia to Singapore to hold talks on different projects.

5、許多中文句子被動(dòng)意義不是很明顯，但譯成英文時(shí)要考慮句子喑含的被動(dòng)意義，譯成英文的被動(dòng)形式。

例8：訂單可寄給當(dāng)?shù)刂袊?guó)出版物代理商，或徑直寄到北京399信箱中國(guó)國(guó)際圖書(shū)貿(mào)易總公司。

譯文：Orders can be sent to a local agent or Box 399,China International Book Trading Corporation.
