創(chuàng)作背景

60年代是美國音樂界的自由創(chuàng)作時期，搖滾樂的流行成為60年代自由與反叛思想的象征，然而其盛況也逐漸造成了樂手日益糜爛的生活態(tài)度。吸毒和淫亂幾乎成了每個美國搖滾樂手在70年代走的同一條墮落之路，金錢與享樂成為了搖滾音樂在70年代的新形象。

同為音樂人的老鷹樂隊看到這樣的事實，卻無能為力。樂手們已經(jīng)將這種沉迷的生活看成了是音樂界的常態(tài)，搖滾樂手們周圍總充滿了漂亮的姑娘和糜爛的生活。于是，樂隊創(chuàng)作了這首《加州旅館》。

歌曲鑒賞

《加州旅館》自1977年面世開始，立即就引來很多的質(zhì)疑與批評。盡管誰也不敢夸口說自己的理解是正解版本，但歌詞中明顯的吸毒、淫亂、邪教等暗示還是引起道德衛(wèi)士的不滿，并且在美國受到宗教團體的懷疑。不過，《加州旅館》歌曲中那成經(jīng)典的吉他旋律、詭異莫名的歌詞內(nèi)容、感人心弦的悲世情懷，使得這首《加州旅館》成為樂迷的最愛。
